My husband and I were in the area during lunchtime and decided to try this restaurant. When you walk in, it feels like a cozy, family-run place — you can see the husband, wife, and their kids working together. It took us a little while to order since it was our first visit, but the owner was very patient and kind in explaining the menu and giving us suggestions. I ordered the Arabic-style lamb wrap and my husband had the falafel platter. Both were absolutely delicious! The lamb wrap was flavorful, the falafel was light and crispy, and the salad, hummus, and pita were all very fresh — great quality ingredients. The lady even gave us a small bottle of homemade sauce made from fresh herbs and ingredients like cilantro and lime — so fragrant and fresh!
A few hours after leaving, I realized I had left my purse at the restaurant. When I called, they immediately confirmed they had found it and kept it safe for me. Everything inside was perfectly intact. I’m so thankful for their honesty and thoughtfulness. We’ll definitely come back next time we’re in the area, and I highly recommend this place to anyone who loves authentic, fresh, and heart-warming Middle Eastern food!

Yaffa Cafe is a favorite of our large office team.
The food is always delicious, and meets our need of being halal, which is a challenge to obtain in Abbotsford.

Re: yaffa beef platter & lahm b ajeen (meat pie)

The flavours of the platter are really wonderful: a little mint on the side salad, the humus and garlic sauce are a wonderful complement to the rest of the meal, the rice is fluffy and there's lots of well-cooked beef. I have the same issue with this beef as I have with most stew-type beef: it was too chewy.

The meat pie was a nice surprise, never having had it before. The pie/crust was light, the ground beef nicely layered on top - not runny in the least - and diced tomatoes and spices peppered the top. It was a fresh taste and, folded in half, it was a perfect meal/snack.
